Easy No-Yeast Greek Yogurt Naan Bread

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour (you may substitute with whole wheat or other flours)

1½ cups plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or non-fat)

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1–2 teaspoons garlic powder or oregano (optional, for extra flavor)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, Greek yogurt, baking powder, salt, and optional seasonings.

Stir until a shaggy dough forms, then use your hands to bring it together into a ball.

Transfer to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 1 minute, until smooth.

  • Shape the Naan

Roll out the dough to your preferred thickness (about ¼ inch thick).

Cut into rounds or tear into rustic pieces if desired.

  • Bake the Naan

Place the rolled dough pieces on a baking sheet.

Optionally drizzle or brush with a little olive oil or melted butter.

Bake for 10–12 minutes, until lightly golden on top.

  • Optional Finishing Touches

For a more traditional texture, brush warm naan with butter or garlic butter right after baking.

You can also broil for 1–2 minutes for a more golden, blistered top.
