Years ago, my husband, sister-in-law, and I attempted to create a recipe website. It never got very far off the ground, but many recipes were shared as a result. This was one that deserves to be shared. My daughter had fun making this recipe with me and the whole family very willingly helped devour them! I shared this recipe recently at a program I run where we make meals together with several community members. The recipe wasn’t followed very well. Specifically the flour and brown sugar were not a full measure. The final result was still delicious, but was more crunchy like a biscuit. So to get the decadent chewy results of these extreme triple chocolate chip cookies, make sure you’re measuring accurately.

Searing the Beef
Incredible with ice cream! Serve crumbled on ice cream, stirred into ice cream, or sandwich ice cream between two cookies, for a not-to-be-forgotten ice cream sandwich!
Notes

1
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

2
In a large bowl cream together butter and both sugars until fluffy (1-2min). Then mix in the egg and vanilla.

3
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add the flour mixture to the butter and sugar mixture. Mix together until fully incorporated.

4
Mix in chocolate chips.

5
Shape cookie dough into 1 ½ inch balls. Place on cookie sheet and flatten balls to ½ inch.
